[Extendt2_all] Re: Journal paper - pre/post survey analysis

Dear Thea, We do have a plan to publish a paper on the validated instrument that is part of the pre-post survey, so we just need to be careful that there is no explicit overlap. I'm sure that should be possible, but just wanted to make sure you are aware of that and that 21st century kills are part of that survey. So there may potential overlap with "critical thinking, reflection, and empathy". We are going to do some statistical analysis of the final pre-post data, so it would make sense not to duplicate that, but if we are getting that done perhaps we can make sure to slice it the way you need it for this paper too. Would that be useful? We just need to manage how the data may be used in both papers and that we reduce overlap of using the same data, or at least report on the same data but with different objectives. Related to the main question you posed, “What is the impact of engaging with design thinking on students' critical thinking, reflection, and empathy?”, I am sharing here a conference paper that we are going to present at the Constructionism 2025 conference. The data is from a vocational high school (for sample heterogeneity). The paper discusses the reflective practices that emerge when students engage in learning activities based on Design Thinking methodology and the role of feedback activities in developing reflective and critical thinking. It is based on a preliminary thematic analysis, but I can share more insights and data on the case regarding reflection and critical thinking if you think this is useful and relevant to what you have in mind to write about.
