Hi everyone!
Our project, Money(-)making empire. Monetary policies and practices in the Swedish Baltic
Empire, ca. 1600–1800 which is funded by Östersjöstiftelsen, is happy to announce two
doctoral positions. We want to stress that although specific empirical expertise and the
like of relevance for the project is of course a merit, we will take a broad perspective
when determining the suitabiliity of candidates. For example, we warmly welcome applicants
from outside the Baltic.
This will be a great opportunity, the PhD-students will have four years of guaranteed
full-time financing, be affiliated with the Swedish National PhD-academy, and will get a
chance to work in an interdisciplinary environment dedicated to northern and eastern
European history.
