Master thesis in urban history
Date Thursday 15/4 (after lunch) until Friday 16/4 (afternoon), 2027
Place: Gula Villan, Stockholm university, Frescati
On April 15–16, 2027, the Institute of Urban History invites master's students to a workshop at Stockholm University!
We turn to you who are working on or have recently written an essay on any subject within the field of urban history.
We are interested in all types of urban history during all historical periods.
This applies to essays concerning the historic city, its population, politics, culture, or other urban historical topics.
The goal of this workshop is to create an opportunity for master's students to get in touch with colleagues who share similar interests.
We also want to encourage you to work on urban history, a growing research field in Sweden that is gaining ever more attention.
The workshop offers a forum where you can present your work, find inspiration in others’ work,
and discuss problems you encountered on your way.
The Institute of Urban History will finance the participants' travel and accommodation costs.
If you are interested in participating, send a short PM (500-1000 characters) about your study no later than
January 15, 2027 to heiko.droste@historia.su.se.
In this PM, you should briefly describe your current research interests and how they relate to the field of urban history.
Welcome!
