Introduction to Data Management Practices
Dates: 2021-10-12 to 2021-10-14
Location: Uppsala University, SciLifeLab, BMC, Husargatan 3, Uppsala
This course will introduce important aspects of Research Data Management through a series of lectures and hands-on computer exercises. The course is intended for (life science) researchers that want to take the first steps towards a more systematic and reproducible approach to analysing and managing research data.

Dataverse is an open-source web application to share, preserve, cite, explore, and analyze research data.
At the Dataverse Community Meeting 2021, to be held virtually from June 14 to 17, we'll be discussing topics such as curation workflows, metadata (including controlled vocabularies), licensing, sensitive data, geospatial data, integrations and external tools, software metadata and containerization, long-term preservation, CoreTrustSeal certification, installation and cloud deployment, governance.
In addition, there will be an introductory session on June 14.

TPDL 2021 – 25th Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries – Submission Deadline Extension
The submission deadline for full, practitioner, short, demo, and poster papers has been extended to the 21. April 2021.
The 25th conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (http://www.tpdl.eu/tpdl2021) takes place under the general theme of “Linking Theory and Practice”. This emphasises TPDL’s role over the last 25 years as a forum that brings together researchers and practitioners whose work intersects with Digital Libraries. Regardless of how your work connects with Digital Libraries, we invite you to submit your work as a full, practitioner, short, demo, or poster paper. We also invite submissions for workshops, tutorials, and our doctoral consortium.
Due to the global situation TPDL 2021 will take place online from 13. to 17. September 2021. This is also an important statement towards making academia environmentally responsible and lowers the barriers towards participation. To ensure that you do not miss out on the in-the-corridor chats, the conference will include a full virtual social programme.

The TPDL 2021 Program Committee will also invite selected authors to submit an extended version (at least 30% new material) of their paper to a special issue in the International Journal of Digital Libraries (IJDL, ISSN 1432-5012).

Nu har vi avslutat vårt projekt kring tillgängliggörande av forskningsdata som haft ett fokus på forskarinvolvering. Slutrapporten från projektet "Tillgängliggörande av forskningsdata - lokal funktion för arbetet gentemot Svensk Nationell Datatjänst" är bifogad. Återkom gärna med frågor och kommentarer, men inte förrän i slutet av juli :)
